MARS - WRIGLEY'S GUIDELINES

A complete redesign that spanned over a two year period and the first project for a new client, Mars. I was the original sole designer on this project at it's infancy, which then developed into a wider team with me at the helm. I oversaw all aspects of layout and design work and had final control over layouts as they left the studio for post-production and repro ready for print.

 

This is a comprehensive example of the guidelines developed to help target all of the different packs layouts, sizes and products within the Wrigley's range, using their unique colour system completely developed by Mars for use when printing any layouts for their chewing gum ranges.

 

The project was a complete overhaul of every product that already existed for the world for Wrigley's, introducing new logos, new colour systems and new pack designs with cameos to advertise the different flavours. Redesigning for the world did present us with many challenges due to laws on how flavours and products are advertised in different countries.

This guide outlines the thought processes, the development and goes into detail about the different elements that make up even the tinniest of packs.
