MARS -GALAXY SPECIAL EDITION

Client Mars required a refresh of their core chocolate slab packs for Galaxy, which are their best sellers. Flavours consisted of Cookie Crumble, Crispy, Honeycomb Crisp, Salted Caramel, Smooth Caramel and Smooth Milk.

One of the big changes was the introduction of the sustainability logo for responsibly sourced cocoa, something that Mars have introduced across a wealth of their products,

Chocolate layouts do not use the Mars unique colour system, so this project required a lot of colour work to attain the required colours using clever overprint techniques due to the limited amount of colour units available on press. We also had to assure alignment of these colours for the packs and the on shelf packaging due to using two different printing techniques, gravure and flexographic.

• Ultra precision artworking on a small scale.

• Colour manipulation using the usual CMYK and Pantone colour systems to create a complex colour palette.

• Designing pack layouts to keep consistency in line with the brand.

• Creating comprehensive live trackers of every layout and monitoring it.
